It would be impossible to write a thank you note every week for a year and not dedicate one to my mom. She is a truly great lady, the epitome of grace -- both elegant and supremely decent.
My mother is a great example of a lifelong learner. She has always expanded her horizons through education, reading, travel, trying new things and connecting with others.
She is, and has always been, there for me. Whether the topic is serious or mundane, she will listen and provide support and advice. And while she is first and foremost my parent, she is also a friend.
In addition to supporting me and others in our family, my mom has always been generous in giving support to the community. She has tutored people in learning English as a second language, cooked and served meals for those in need, and done many other things to help people.
In short, my mother is a wonderful role model who taught me how to be a good person. And of course she writes great thank you notes!
