Week 23: My Travel Buddy

One of my friends is a great travel buddy. We don't live in the same city any longer, but we make it a point to meet up somewhere once or twice a year. Whenever we do, we have a great time. We like exploring places together -- she shows me new towns and I make sure she gets in her 10,000 steps (or more)!

My friend is very easygoing and an experienced traveler, which is a great combination. She picks great places, does the background research, and then is flexible about exactly what we end up doing.

This week, we watched one of the NCAA final four games on a massive outdoor screen while sipping coffees and cocktails from a hotel balcony. Definitely unexpected and fun (no comment on the game and a controversial call in the last second, of course)!

Thanks to my friend for being a great travel buddy. We've been together for work and personal trips in the US and elsewhere, and they are always fun and memorable. Can't wait for the next one!
