2023 Note 1: The Cheerful Collaborator

This year, I had the opportunity to work with one of the best collaboration partners ever. The two of us were involved in an assignment that was high profile and constantly changing. The company we work for is very fast paced, so frequent change is something we're used to...but this project seemed to have more twists and turns than most.

We met via Zoom on a near daily basis, to check in on the latest requests and decide how best to handle. This could have been frustrating, but instead it was actually fun! The two of us enjoyed working with each other and learning from one another. We kept each other's spirits up as we adjusted to the various requests for changes and shifting priorities.

In the end, everyone was happy with the outcome. We also found that our daily interaction sparked not only a professional connection but a personal one as well. We haven't been on a shared assignment since, but we have a periodic virtual coffee break and are looking forward to when we collaborate on another project.
