Week 52: The Postal Carrier

Hmm...I'm not sure where this posting went, but it seems to be missing from the site. Even with Covid warping my sense of time, I'm pretty sure 2019 had 52 weeks, not 51!

Last December, I sent a thank you note expressing gratitude to my Mail Carrier. He is reliable and friendly. Week after week, he collected my thank you notes from the mailbox and ensured they went on their way -- close by, across the country and even around the world.

In 2020, he delivered mail-in ballots to my house. Being in the swingiest of swing states, this was very important to me. There was so much bad press about issues with the Postal Service, but I knew my Mail Carrier would deliver.

I am grateful that we have a functioning Postal Service and that I can count on my Mail Carrier, no matter what is happening in the world.
