Week 3: The Children's Store Manager

Have you ever walked into a store and the people working there make you feel special? That happened to me in Texas this week, when I stopped into a children's clothing store.

My kid is grown and I didn't need to be in that store. But it's my favorite kids clothing brand and I just wanted to go in and look at the stuff. My husband and I were together and we went in the store to reminisce.

The women working there got it -- they didn't try to sell us anything. Instead, they joined our talk about favorite styles from the past, the Midwest location we frequented when our daughter was young, and how we were sad when she was too big and grown up for the brand.

What nice people, just letting us be in the moment and the memory. My week 3 note is on it's way to them now.
